Marques De Riscal Reserva  Decent wine but a bit disapointing for Riscal, also a bit overpriced. Not all that impressed.

 wineboy at 4th Oct 2006, 12:58AM
Marques De Caceres Rose  Not great but im not a fan of rose.

 wineboy at 4th Oct 2006, 12:47AM
Clos De L'oratoire Des Papes Les Choregies  Rich and spicey wine with depth and an abundance of flavour. Will last for years, not quite at peak yet but still drinkable. Not sure about value for money though.

 wineboy at 2nd Oct 2006, 12:38AM
Corbieres Que Les Corbieres  Decent wine with enough fruit for the price, kinda like a third division football team that is towards the top of the league but will sink like a stone as soon as there are some injurys in the squad.

 wineboy at 30th Sep 2006, 12:52AM
Botham Merrill Willis Cab/sauv  Extremly good quality blend of Coonawarra and McLaren Vale Cabernet. Smooth and developed with touches of both regions style. Very well made wine and very enjoyable.

 wineboy at 27th Sep 2006, 11:36PM
D'arenberg D'arrys Origional  Good value for money, big and fruity wine which does exactly what you would expect.

 wineboy at 24th Sep 2006, 11:51PM
Taitinger Prelude Grand Cru  Grand Cru? Decent but no better than the non-vintage.

 wineboy at 24th Sep 2006, 11:44PM
Konrad  Good Value but should have been drunk a year or 2 ago.

 wineboy at 18th Sep 2006, 11:11AM
Eikendal Chardonnay  Classy Chardonnay, nice levels of oak in balance with acidity and fruit flavours. Good long finnish. Everything is there and in the right place.

 wineboy at 16th Sep 2006, 03:38PM
La Motte Shiraz  Excellent quality well made wine. Slightly overpowering just now but will develop over the next 5 years or so. A great alternative to the Rhone.

 wineboy at 16th Sep 2006, 03:30PM
Martin Sarmiento Mencia  Lots of layers and complexity, great, well made wine but needs either food or a few years to mellow.

 wineboy at 12th Sep 2006, 11:53PM
Billi Billi Shiraz  More of a super middle weight than a heavy weight. Fantastic value for money, packed with muscular fruit and backed up with smoky oak on the finnish. Bargin for £5.99

 wineboy at 9th Sep 2006, 12:59AM
Crios De Susana Balbo  Fresh and fruity with a clean mineral and herby finnish, a bundle of fun!

 wineboy at 7th Sep 2006, 12:15AM
Marques De Riscal Tempranillo  The cheap version of the famous Riscal of Rioja. A fruitier style designed for drinking now. Very tasty and ideal for mid-week quality plonk.

 wineboy at 3rd Sep 2006, 01:06AM
Vignoble Guillaume Pinot Noir  Light and juicy easy drinking. Fun fruity wine, perfect for lunch or breakfast.

 wineboy at 29th Aug 2006, 11:23PM
Tasman Creek  Nice promising nose but disapointing palate. This wine is basically ok and its cheap. If this wine were a boxer it would be Audley Harrison, full of promise but in the end disapointing. (but not as big and white).

 wineboy at 24th Aug 2006, 12:32AM
Savigny-les-beaune Jean-jacques Girard  Good quality wine, lots of nutty, toasty flavours and aromas although the palate was a bit disapointing after a great nose. Lacking a bit in acidity, drink now.

 wineboy at 22nd Aug 2006, 10:57PM
Bonterra Chardonnay  Pretty good californian Chardonnay, not as packed with oak as some but still lots there. Nice fresh apple fruit and long finnish. Good value for money for everyday drinking wine. + its organic and therefore good for the enviroment!

 wineboy at 20th Aug 2006, 01:36AM
La Casetta Valpolicella Ripasso  Well made, big fruity wine. Quite expensive at £10 a bottle compaired to some wines of similar quality from other parts of the world. However it has got a good long finnish and lots of depth of flavour.

 wineboy at 18th Aug 2006, 01:00AM
Jann Chave Hermitage  Exceptionally well made wine with everything in perfect balance, should be outstanding in a few years.

 wineboy at 8th Aug 2006, 10:37PM
Alphonse Mellot Edmond Sancerre  A wine with a lot going on, very fresh but still steely dry. Extremly good quality but not sure if it lives up to the 19.99 price tag.

 wineboy at 8th Aug 2006, 10:30PM
Château Broustet  Very good quality, well made with crisp acidity, fruit and good levels of alc all in balance. Drinking well but will definatley improve.

 wineboy at 1st Aug 2006, 12:06AM

 wineboy at 29th Jul 2006, 11:32PM
Wolf Blass Gold Label Cabernet  More subtle and refined than expected, good length and balance and good depth of flavour. A very nice, high quality coonawarra Cabernet. However if your buying wolf blass looking for a fruit bomb this one isnt for you.

 wineboy at 28th Jul 2006, 12:38AM
Cumulus Climbing Merlot  Fruity new world style of Merlot, pleasant fruity drinking, a crowd pleaser.

 wineboy at 28th Jul 2006, 12:20AM
Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon  Very powerful, like a heavyweight boxer. The palate is that packed with fruit and alc it almost feels like chewing rather than drinking. However having said this i think it will mellow into a very good quality wine. Keep for a few years.

 wineboy at 22nd Jul 2006, 01:08AM
Montes Alpha Chardonnay  Very good quality and value. Nice approchable wine packed with fresh fruit and with good depth of flavour and a nice long finnish. More remanisent of a good Chablis than most new world Chardonnay.

 wineboy at 21st Jul 2006, 12:29AM
Saintsbury Rèserve Chardonnay  Very well made Chardonnay in the classic American style. Lots of oak but balanced by some big up front vanilla and some more delicate secondary melon fruit. Nice long finnish. Drink now as the alc is starting to dominate.

 wineboy at 18th Jul 2006, 12:24AM
St Hallett Poachers Blend  Good fresh tropical fruit and lime flavours, very good summer drinking, well balanced, well made. Perhaps a little lacking in depth and character but great for sitting in the sun.

 wineboy at 18th Jul 2006, 12:11AM
Argento Malbec  Decent wine, mainly big up front plummy fruit with not much depth. However, very good quality for the price. Good wine for the guests.

 wineboy at 16th Jul 2006, 10:44PM
Pirrammima Premium Cabernet  Just what you would expect, a big powder keg of a wine, masses of fruit and grip. Having said this however, the tannins balance out well with the fruit and i think it will mellow over the next few years.

 wineboy at 15th Jul 2006, 12:01PM
Flor De Pingus  Good quality, needs to age a while and mellow. Drunk to young.

 wineboy at 5th Jul 2006, 11:46PM

 wineboy at 9th May 2006, 05:53PM

 wineboy at 9th May 2006, 05:47PM
Penfolds St Henri  Very good quality, drinking well just now but could still have a good 5 years to live. Great alternative to all the oak ageing in australia and shows how quality wine can perform without oak.

 wineboy at 9th May 2006, 04:05PM
Camden Park No Bull Shiraz/petit Verdot  Very big and full on fruit and aclcohol explosion. Massive Massive knock out palate which might be to big and powerful for some. Not a wine for the faint hearted and slightly straight forward. However this is the one if you like a blockbuster.

 wineboy at 9th May 2006, 03:59PM

Mora Negra Finca Las Moras  Will mellow with time but to young and overpowering at the moment.

 wineboy at 2nd May 2006, 03:59PM
