Do you like wine, but can't really bring yourself to buy a classic, vintage wine? You know, the kind of thing you see advertised at around £250 a bottle and think, yes, I'd like to have a go at that! Well six followers of this site are going to be sent just such a bottle absolutely free.
Let's look at the six wines someone will soon be tasting.
Jancis Robinson writing about great, French wines said,
"It is no wonder that the world has heard of Chateaux Mouton Rothschild, Latour, Margaux, Lafite and Haut Brion, the famous five "first growths" in the top division of the 1855 classification."
Well, we are offering you the chance to get your hands on three of the famous five. How do you fancy opening one of these giants?
Chateau Margaux 1996 (rrp £260) "lush, silky Margaux" – (Jancis Robinson.) "solidity, structure and longevity match its charm, perfume and personality." (Larousse Encyclopedia of Wine."
Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1997 (rrp £119) "opulent, dense and complex" – "Larousse Encyclopedia of Wine
Les Forts de Latour 1990 (rrp £85) "Latour, a dark, chewy monster of a wine" – (Larousse Encyclopedia of Wine.)
La Rioja Alta s.a Gran Reserva 890 1985 (rrp £65) "La Rioja Alta belongs to what might be called the Rioja aristocracy" – Jancis Robinson
Chateau Grand-puy-Lacoste 1989 (rrp £60) "Cinquieme crus classification; an excellent vineyard with fruity yet well-structured wine" -(Larousse Encyclopedia of Wine.)
Chateau Rieussec 1988 (rrp £50) "One of the great sauternes estates - 1988 & 1989 promise very well." – (Larrouse Encyclopedia of Wine."
Why are we at nosewine.com offering this treasure chest of great wines? Well we are a free, independent website that wants lovers, enthusiasts and slurpers of wine to share your personal tasting notes on line. As we build up the archive, you'll be able to look up tasting notes that are from fellow, honest drinkers and see what recommendations people have for you or what you might be advised to give a miss.
So the site is a tasting note forum where you can tell people about your wines and find out about what else is about and worth drinking – or not!!
How do I get the great wine on offer?
Simply log on to nosewine.com and start posting tasting notes today. When the archive has reached 2,500 entries, the top three posters who have submitted the most notes on the website will automatically receive one of the six bottles. All other members who posted a tasting will be entered into a random draw. Three further members will enjoy one of these great wines.
It's as simple as that. We've bought the wine and when we reach 2,500 entries on the database, six lucky members will get the drinking pleasure of a lifetime, plus the fun of being your own Jancis Robinson or Robert Parker. So get tasting and start posting.
Happy drinking!!
